Dear Bud, Bill, Liesl, Jimmy, and Mary.

In Celebration of Patsy’s.
We want to give thanks that Patsy was a part of our lives for more than 65 years. Patsy was a lovely woman who exemplified grace and kindness. She was always an encouragement to us in our work in Thailand, Though we were apart overseas for long periods, when we were able to get together, it seems we just picked up where we left off enjoying  being together. She faced each difficulty that life brings with calm determination, faith, hope and resilience. We never heard her complain. Now her task is finished and she is with her Lord.  Praise God for the blessings Patsy has brought to us all.

Dear Bud,

We have been enjoying memories of you and Patsy who have been like a brother and sister to us as your mother and father were such close friends with my mother and father. I will always remember when your father called you and I in and promised that the Porter family would always help us in our work for the Lord here. No one could imagine then that this support would still be going on 65 years later.

I just found a picture of you and Patsy, boating into the Lao song village where Tongkham, the girl paddling in front, lived. See below. 64 years ago, I married her to our evangelist in the Sam Yak Church which was dedicated to the glory of God and also to honor your father. Now, Tongkham lives about 50 yards from our house. Yongyute is the pastor emeritus of our Thammanikom Church. I am attaching the picture of him in front of the Lao Song Church that we dedicated near Sam Yak on September 07, 2024. See pictures below.

I am also attaching a picture of Sasi paddling her boat in the Lao Song village, Pai Hu Chang (Elephant Ear Bamboo). I took you and Patsy to that village also. You gave her scholarship money to study since the 4 grade. Now, she has retired from teaching Christian Education in McGilvary College of Divinity, Payap University. She moved with her family to live next door to us about 30 years ago. She says, “She came to take care of us when we get old.” Below is another picture standing with the Lao Song from her village at the dedication of the Lao Song Church September 07.

Maybe the Lord will let us all go together again in a heavenly boat.

Blessings brother,
Allan and Joan
